I’ve been here many times & have enjoyed each time. However, this time warranted a review. I ordered the Tuna Tostada and WOW they were DELICIOUS, a very generous amount of Tuna. SO FRESH, every bite was perfect. As I sit here writing this I am thinking about placing another order 😅… okay yup just placed another order. To pair, I got a mezcal jalapeño margarita and it is amazing
YES YES YES!
You want to visit Tipsy Taco. Just do it. You won't regret it.
Take your friends out to dinner, or go to the bar. I promise you'll enjoy the food. The tacos are "food truck style." They are really really really good. Their main entrees are very good as well such as the burritos. The apps are also super good and will feed the entire table. Tipsy Taco did recently raise their prices a bit, so make sure you are ready to spend $$$ instead of $$ when coming to get a bite here. I ordered lunch the other day and it cost me $40 bucks... Yikes. BUT WORTH IT (Just not everyday). The staff is very friendly as well! I will be returning again soon.
Overall Rating: 10/10
Finally, a restaurant/bar that caters to the young professionals. For so long, many of the restaurants near Mt. Kisco were geared towards families or grade schoolers. This place felt youthful, vibrant but still sophisticated. Great for dates or catching up with friends over one of their delicious and deceptively strong Margaritas. It does get a bit kitschy at times when it felt like half of their menu is brought out in flames or some sort of presentation. The food was ok. We got the tacos with steak which I thought was a bit salty. I had the beef consommé taco and the Baja shrimp taco (although what they brought was the Baja fish). The beef taco was spectacular and the consommé they bring on the side is perfectly light but flavorful. The fish taco was ok.
We went on a Friday night and it was busy, busy, busy. They don’t take reservations for parties under 4 - we were 3. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated. The staff is very friendly and it seems they interact (and some to be close friends) with the patrons also which always means that it’s a local spot.
I had the birria quesadilla, this is not only the best birria quesadilla I have ever had but the best food in general I have had in a while. I am VERY particular. The beef was good quality, cooked with love, and slow cooked to velvety perfection. I loved that the cilantro and onions were on top instead of inside because lately every quesadilla I’ve had has been LOADED with more onions/cilantro than beef or cheese. The presentation was beautiful, the service was friendly and quick, and everything was overall fantastic. So happy I came here and I can’t wait to go back.
Chill and pretty place, we sat outside. Kept a menu and kept ordering lol and the food was great! There's even a cool truck parked there and some games for you to play if needed. The vibes are definitely there! 10/10 would return
Service friendly. Food is ok. BUT I FOUND a Chicken BONE in my tostada and half of it I swallowed. The waiter said I will let the chef know and show him. Chef response: No response, very disappointing. Waiter apologized for inconvenience.
I liked the ambiance, but thats about it. The food wasn’t that great, I got enchiladas con salsa verde, there was no green sauce to be seen. My best friend got some tacos and her sister got quesadillas, they both said their dishes were alright. It was nothing special, the food didn’t have much flavor, and the size of everything looked small. In my opinion, the best part of the meal was the chips, guacamole, and salsa we got as an appetizer. The drinks weren’t any better, we all ordered flavored mojitos and they didn’t taste like the fruit we chose, in fact they tasted watered down if like a seltzer. The menus and how to pay for the check are a cool concept. Menus are on iPads and you can scan a QR code to pay the bill. The service was fine, nothing to complain about on that end. This is not the first time I go here, I went when they first opened and didn’t like it so i wanted to give it another shot. It just didn’t live up at all, very disappointing as it has such a nice vibe. If they drinks were good, I would considering going back just to the bar, but nope.
Found this place from one of their ads on Google maps, and I'm glad I clicked on it. If Mt Kisco didn't already have so many good food options, this is another to add on that list. My girlfriend and I arrived as they opened for brunch, and we were pleasantly surprised. Interior of the place is nice and upbeat with a decent size bar. Service was attentive and helpful, but the food topped everything. I got 7 tacos, and not one disappointed. From our app to the mains, everything was spot on which included the generous bottomless sangria servings. Overall a great experience and we will have to come back for dinner service.
